While Matthew’s started off with the piano, he has been singing since primary school. Attending Penn State for vocal performance, singing in almost every ensemble PSU had to offer wasn’t enough so he directed an a cappella group called Out of Nowhere, and eventually changed his areas of study to Comparative Literature and Chinese. Matthew taught music privately for years after college, has worked in tech for many years, and even built a home in Maine, eventually making his way to the Eastern Shore.
In addition to singing with the Chester River Chorale, Chester Chamber Singers, and River voices, he also performs in the local theaters, and is on the board of River Arts as well. He recently took over the responsibility of maintaining https://www.chesterriverchorale.org and is looking forward to the new season with the CRC.
