While Ann’s primary instrument is piano, she has been singing and performing in vocal ensembles both small and large since childhood. After graduating from a small school in Connecticut devoted to the arts and affiliated with Juilliard Prep, Ann continued her piano studies with Michael Hill at Manchester Harris College, Oxford where she gave several solo piano recitals and performed with other musicians in chamber ensembles and sang with the Isis Singers, a 12-member a cappella group, the Oxford Bach Choir, and formed and conducted a small madrigals group.
After earning her undergraduate degree in music she later taught piano both privately and as an adjunct at Washington College. Additionally, Ann holds a diploma in nursing and a master’s degree in psychology. As a registered nurse, she enjoyed a long and varied career in healthcare prior to her retirement in 2023.
In addition to singing with the Chester River Chorale and Chester Chamber Singers, Ann is a member of the Wilmington based a cappella group, Sine Nomine which has performed in Delaware, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Ann has also sung with the Easton Choral Arts Society, the Annapolis Chorale, the Delaware Choral Arts Society, and the Mary Green Singers.
