Ann has more than 50 years of choral experience in both small and large groups. In addition to singing with the Chester River Chorale and Chamber Singers, she has sung with the Delaware Choral Society, Annapolis Chorale, Mary Greene Singers, the Washington College Community Chorus, Isis Singers (a 12-member a cappella group in Oxford, UK), and the Oxford Bach Choir, as well as with the choir of Emmanuel Church in Chestertown. She has also formed and conducted small madrigal ensembles.
Ann plays several instruments and for many years taught piano both privately and as an adjunct at Washington College in the past. She has given solo recitals in both the US and the UK, but greatly prefers playing with chamber groups or accompanying vocalists and instrumentalists, as making music with others is a lifelong love for her.
Having moved to Maryland from Connecticut in the late 1970’s, she and her husband raised their family here and have been active members of the Chestertown community. Ann appreciates the good fortune she has been afforded to be able live in such a beautiful rural area and still have the opportunity to make great music together with others in the Chester River Chorale.
