Christine Kamon

Christine has had no formal music education but has always had a love for music and has been willing to share whatever her talents may be.  She grew up singing in youth choirs at church, school choruses, a large college choir, and now her church choir.  Being part of the Chester River Chorale has been a challenging, fun, and rewarding experience.

Christine directed a rather large children’s choir with children K-2 for thirteen years with her goal being to have the children love to sing and for them to be willing to sing in front of others.  She ran the music program for Vacation Bible School with over 100 children for a number of years.  That was certainly a high energy endeavor which suited Christine to a T.

Christine’s other passion in life (outside of her family, children, and grandchildren) is quiltmaking.  She has taught quilting and has sold quilts for over 30 years.  A favorite day for her would be to be in her studio creating and listening to music or audiobooks.  Other pastimes which she shares with her husband are boating, biking, kayaking, skiing, and golfing.  Occasionally, she finds time to just sit and read.
