Carolyn is singing Alto 1 for the first time this fall in the Chorale. After singing Soprano 2 for so many years including the last few years with CRC, it is proving to be quite a challenge hearing the melody in the background, but then needing to find the Alto harmony.
Carolyn and her husband, Dave, built a home in Chestertown in 2006. They were attracted by the historic, on the river, college town with lots of art, theater and boating activities. She had no idea that there was also a robust community choral group. That was the icing on the cake. Carolyn has sung in various choirs over the years starting in college. The last large community choir, however, was when she was in graduate school at Penn State….quite a few years ago.
Carolyn is a recovering CPA having spent 40 years immersed in taxes. The last thirty years were in northern Virginia. Her other interests include playing with her six (northern Virginian) grandchildren, working with the local Samaritan Group, traveling the world, and reading as time allows.
